What is going to Happen To Newspapers

Am I the only real person concerned with the future of newspapers? Many newspapers have folded recently as a result of lack of advertising and readership. I don't must look farther than my personal family to find out this trend. None of my three children enroll in a newspaper. The obtain news from television. The applies to their friends who either makes use of the TV or mobiles or other gadgets to get the news.
The first place to discover the health on the print information mill their funding. Papers get the vast majority of their money from advertisers. Since 2003 the quantity of dollars received from advertising continues to be cut by two. On the other hand, the cash spent on on-line ads has tripled. So funding for newspapers is rapidly drying up.
A few years ago, I supplemented my retirement income by selling newspaper subscriptions to shoppers to get. The most common objection I heard was "I get my news on TV". This is sad because television news can just spend a second or so on each story. TV will want to spend a minimum of 10% of the news show on giving us the elements. The worst part concerning this is that for many their scientific explanations of what is possible and why, they may be frequently wrong.
I just want to start the afternoon reading the neighborhood paper. My morning is just not complete without coffee along with the newspaper. I read it from tailgate to cab. I love design for it inside my hands (the same applies books versus gadgets).
Stories are covered detailed. I don't use a talking head telling me such a TV station thinks is significant. The newspaper gives me the complete story. I can decide what is significant and what will not be. Guess what else the newspaper has? No interference from commercials. The ads is there for me to read or you cannot read. And, because this is election season, I don't use a lying politician giving me misinformation every 10-20 minutes.
In addition to reporters, newspapers have columnists. These writers give to us food for thought, covering ideas and events within a unique way.
What it all amounts to is talking and listening versus writing and reading. It takes more talent to write down than it does to talk. And more thought has got to go into the written word.
It is sad for me to discover the handwriting for the wall. Newspapers will in the end disappear and turn into victims of technology. I hope I am wrong concerning this, even so the website trend is ending newsprint. I just hope this doesn't happen happen during my lifetime.
